This section collected some usefully links for Flash and describe some general Flash problems.
The Flash Player blocks general the External Interface, when the SWF-file is used direct from the file system. To fix the problem, the Flash Player must know which SFW-file he can trust, but the Flash Player has no local possibility to change the settings. The only possibility to change the security settings is to open the Global Security Settings Panel from the Adobe page and add the folder or the file to the list.
Adobe have an archive with old Flash Player versions. To get the versions visit the archive page from Adobe.
Here are a collection with problems by using the Flash Player in the Internet Explorer.
The methods defined in the SWF-file couldn't accessed since IE7. To behavior is a little bit confused, but the solution to fix the problem is: "if the object element is added to the div before the div is attached to the rest of the DOM hierarchy, then everything works except for ExternalInterface callbacks. If the object element is added to the div after the div is attached to the rest of the DOM hierarchy, then everything including ExternalInterface callbacks work correctly" (aduston Jan 10th 2007)
The method to remove the Flash DOM element only by using the method
removeChild() (or something like this) make memory leaks. The implementaion in SWFObjects fix the problem.
